Shropshire has been blessed with some of England's most serene rural beauty, from sleek escarpments and rocky outcrops to verdant pastured ridges. Numerous castles, ancient abbeys, hilltop forts and medieval towns and villages make this country the perfect backdrop for a long-distance path like the Shropshire Way.
The official guide has been prepared in consultation with the Shropshire Way Association and Shropshire Council. It shows a new, simplified route, which makes a complete tour of the county or can be broken down into northern and southern loops using the Shrewsbury Link route. In addition there is a leg to the fascinating town of Whitchurch.
- Suitable for year-round walking
- Listing of suggested accommodation
- Also describes the 20 mile Stretton Skyline Walk taking in the Long Mynd, Caer Caradoc, the Hope Bowdler Hills and the Lawley
